Ankur Warikoo

Ankur Warikoo is Cofounder & CEO of nearbuy.com – India’s No.1 Discovery and Transaction Platform for Stepping Out.

nearbuy.com works with over 40,000 local businesses comprising food & drinks, beauty & wellness, activities, movies & events and travel, across 33 cities in India.

Prior to nearbuy.com, Warikoo was Head of Groupon’s India, Indonesia, Thailand and Philippines business. Nearbuy.com is the result of a management buyout of Groupon’s India business in August 2015.

Warikoo has been an Internet entrepreneur since 2008. In 2008 he cofounded Accentium Web along with 2 other batch-mates from ISB that ran websites such as Gaadi.com, Secondshaadi.com, Taaza.com amongst others. Thereafter, Ankur launched Rocket Internet’s India business and helped setup the footprint for Jabong and Groupon.

Post his MBA, Ankur was a Management Consultant with A.T. Kearney for 3 years. He worked in Delhi, Dubai and New York during this time.

Ankur holds a management degree from the Indian School of Business (Class of 2006) where he was awarded the Young Leader Award. He also holds a Masters degree in Physics from Michigan State University and holds a bachelor’s degree from Hindu College, Delhi University.

Ankur is a regular public speaker and social media influencer, with 500,000+ followers across Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter etc.

Ankur was part of Fortune Magazine’s 40 under 40 List for India, has been named as India’s Top Executives under 40 by Business Today and has been awarded the Social Media Entrepreneur of the Year by Silicon Review.

Amit Malik

In his current role at Aviva, Amit leads the People Function , Business Operations and Customer Service divisions along with Administration. He plays a key role in furthering the strategic business goals of the organization by ‘partnering’ for success and has the responsibility for driving Customer focus, Service Mindset and People Agenda in accordance with company strategy. His mantra is building a dynamic, vibrant and agile culture with focus on Innovation and Simplicity, key ingredients to propel the organization to be customer and future ready.

Amit has over 18 years of work experience and prior to joining Aviva, has worked in HR leadership roles at Bank of America, Royal bank of Scotland, American Express and GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare. He has undertaken regional assignments in Malaysia & Sri Lanka during his career.

Amit graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering degree and is a Management Graduate in Human Resource from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune. He is also an Alumnus of School of Industrial and Labour relations, Cornell University and Said Business School – Oxford University and a Certified Coach from ICF.

Amit has been recognised both within and outside Aviva for his contributions. Some key awards are Aviva People Living legend award 2017 , CHRO of the year 2017 at Culture & diversity Summit, ‘Top 40 HR Leaders’ 2014 in the country by Asia Pacific HR Congress. He has Authored several articles on Key HR trends and practices in leading national dailies like Economic Times, Times of India, Financial Express and has been a speaker at various forums Like National HRD events, CII forum, and Management Institutes amongst others.

Ganesh is a skilled hands on HR professional passionate about achieving business results through People. He has more than a decade of experience in the Learning & Development space along with a stint as an HR Business partner Over the years, he has been responsible for all phases of the learning journey -from creating the overall Learning architecture of the organization, setting up the individual verticals of the L & D function, creation of Technical Academies to build Functional expertise and execution of Leadership programs to create a talent pipeline. He has run and managed organization wide Change management programs during critical transition periods. An expert classroom facilitator with a strong orientation of using technology as an enabler and have been an early adopter in using Gamification to drive learning and engagement. He launched an industry-first, award winning leadership game called “Hunt for Shalimar” in 2013.His current passion is mobile learning and have recently created and designed a unique - Learning, Social and Gamification app called "MobiBuZZ" which has been voted the "Best in Redefining Technology for Learning" at the 2016 People Matters Award & "Most Innovative use of HR Technology" by the HT Mint Awards. His latest digital foray has been in designing the only Insurance Sales Enablement simulation called the “Wolf of Park Street.” This has been awarded as one of the best Technology backed Gamification initiatives in India at the People Matters L & D Awards in 2017. Recently he was recognized as one of top 3 CLO's of the year at the TISS -Leapvault CLO awards. He is passionate about education and is part of the board that designs the curriculum for a premier management institution.

He has completed his Masters in HR and in his free time loves reading comics ,playing videogames and keeping fit by running behind his 2 year old son.

TN Hari is an advisor and mentor to numerous young entrepreneurs and startups. He is also a Strategic Advisor at ‘Fundamentum’, which is a homegrown growth phase VC fund set up by Nandan Nilekani and Sanjeev Aggarwal. Hari also heads HR at BigBasket.

He has studied at IIT & IIM and worked at an executive level with multiple start-ups/scale-ups and has been through four successful exits in different industries (Daksh, Virtusa, Amba Research, TaxiForSure).

His passion is in scaling organizations through clear thinking and relentless execution. He writes regularly on LinkedIn and has a substantial following. LinkedIn identified him as the one of the Top 10 Voices in India in 2016 and 2017.

He has Co-authored two books. The recent one, published by Penguin, is titled “Cut the Crap and Jargon – Lessons from the Startup Trenches”. The next one under publication by Blooomsbury is titled “Cutting the Gordian Knot – India’s Quest for Prosperity.

A PhD in Management and a Triple Gold Medalist in MBA, she has 15 years of corporate experience in banking and L&D. A TEDx speaker, she is also invited to speak at various National and International seminars, summits and conferences on Business, Banking, Management, Learning and Leadership. She is an ardent researcher and an author of two books. Her research papers have been published in leading International and National journals, books and magazines.

She is a Top Performer Banker who has been awarded for her achievements at International Conventions in Sydney-Australia, Geneva-Switzerland and Bangkok. In the past, she has represented India as Youth Ambassador at the Global Leo Meet (Youth body of Lions Clubs International) at Chicago, USA. She has also been a Cultural Ambassador to Osaka, Japan under the Indo-Japan Student Exchange Program between Gujarat University and Otemon Gakuin University.

She has served as President of Leo Club and Leo Youth Director of Lions clubs International, and undertaken many community service and youth development programs. Dr. Madana Kumar is a passionate professional and Leader with more than 35 years of experience. Has shaped the learning strategy of the growing organization to create and nurture a Learning culture in the organization and to accelerate the Digital Culture within the organization. A Thought Leader and Strategist on Leadership, and Organizational Learning. In over 20 years of experience as an HR professional, Parul has played multiple roles in HR, her last one being with Microsoft as Director Learning & Development. Parul has led country wide Cultural Transformation Initiatives and designed multiple practices in Leadership Development and L&D that have been recognized as Global Best Practices. Parul has had an almost equal stint as a consultant as with the corporate; she was Director & Co – Founder of People Factor Pvt.
